The Kills guitarist in police row
Kate Moss’ fiance had a furious row with police after his band held a raucous party in their hotel room.
The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince and his group infuriated staff at a Barcelona hotel with their loud antics as they filmed a video in one of the suites.
After ignoring all pleas to keep quiet, staff phoned the police.
Jamie’s bandmate Alison Mosshart said: “They demanded the tapes.
They were called because we woke up some silly b*****d who couldn’t take her hands off the phone to the front desk.”
A source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “It sounded like they were having a riotous party, with shrieking and laughing. It was the early hours and people weren’t impressed.
“The police thing was a massive over-reaction but no one was arrested.”
Meanwhile, Kate lost a £10,000 birthday present after her luggage went missing at London’s Heathrow Terminal 5. The supermodel had splashed out on a bracelet for friend Fran Cutler, but it disappeared two weeks ago when Kate flew to Los Angeles. When she returned to Britain last night (14.04.08), the baggage still hadn’t been located, much to Kate’s annoyance.
A source said: “Kate’s assistant spent all day on the phone trying to find it. Kate is livid that it is still missing.”
Kate Moss dropped
What like listen Kate Moss. Kate Moss is set to be dropped as the face of Rimmel London.
The 34-year-old supermodel has fronted campaigns for the British make-up company since 2001, but bosses now want to replace her with someone younger.
A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “There have been rumblings for some time about Kate being replaced by a younger model. She’s been amazing for the brand, but they want a fresh face.”
The favourite to take over from Kate is 24-year-old British TV presenter Alexa Chung, who is currently romancing Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner.
The source added: “Alexa is one of the hottest faces out there. Not only is she beautiful, she’s savvy, sexy and has lots of attitude.”
New Bond girl Gemma Arterton is also in the running, while models Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe and Lily Cole auditioned but failed to make the cut.
However, Rimmel insisted Kate – who was recently replaced as the face and body of lingerie giants Agent Provocateur – is still contracted to them.
Spokeswoman Emmanuelle Bonte said: “Kate remains the face of Rimmel London and will continue to appear in campaigns for the foreseeable future.
“Rimmel London has no plans to replace Kate. We are very happy with the collaboration.”
Kate – whose career looked ruined after she was pictured snorting what appeared to be cocaine in 2005 – has lucrative contracts with TopShop, Virgin Mobile and Calvin Klein.
Kate Moss to wed Kills guitarist
Kate Moss is set to wed her rocker lover.
The supermodel – who has been dating The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince since last August – is believed to have got engaged during the couple’s recent break in Amsterdam.
A beaming Kate reportedly emerged from a bar in the Dutch city and told fans: “I’m getting married!”
One onlooker added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “The pair were in a bar looking very loved-up. Kate was so excited it looked like she had just accepted his proposal there and then. She was very happy.
“She came out giggling and seemed a little bit drunk. Lots of fans were taking her picture on their mobile phones. She told them she was getting married and when one girl asked her when, she said, ‘Soon.’”
Friends of Kate – who has a five-year-daughter Lila from a previous relationship – are thrilled she is finally settling down, following her turbulent romance with drug addict Pete Doherty.
One said: “We’re all so happy for Kate. Everyone was worried she would end up with Pete, who we thought was no good for her.
“We were convinced that, for some unknown reason, she saw him as the love of her life. Jamie looked like it could have been a bit of a rebound thing at first, but now it seems like it’s the real deal.”
Kate, 34, split from Babyshambles frontman Pete last June following claims he had cheated on her with a South African model.
